At the Angus Buchanan Recreation Ground, Victoria Road, Coleford on Sunday 14th June the following events will be running : 11am – 3pm Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust will be running a Wild Play Day for children.
Come and make clay creatures, dragonfly kites, animal masks and learn a bit about plants and animals found on this site.This is a free event, no need to book, just drop in for as long as you want. (Children need to be accompanied by an adult unless they are old enough to be going up there on their own.)
Also (for adults) at 2-3.30pm Tony Titchen a local dendrologist will be leading a ‘Tree Gazing’ gentle stroll talking about the native and introduced species of tree found at the Rec, their histories and usage. So if you love trees and have any questions you would like to ask about them, then come along to this free event and ask Tony.
The cafe will be open for reasonably priced home-made cakes, tea and coffee or you are welcome to bring your own picnic.
