Garas (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) has been commissioned by Forest of Dean district council to assist with the resettlement of Syrian refugees in and around the Forest. We are looking for individuals who may have some spare time to assist with the delivery of this project. If you feel you may be able to assist and have some skills and time to offer then we would like to hear from you.

We are also looking for (brand new) items for the houses, from this list:

BEDDING – Duvets single & double, Pillows, Fitted bed sheets, Waterproof mattress protectors, Duvet sets, Afghan blankets

HOUSEHOLD ITEMS – such as Towels, , Ironing board, Iron, Toilet items eg bins, toilet brush, mirrors bath mats etc, Bins, Dust pan and brush, Dinner sets, Cutlery, Cooking utensils, Mugs, Dish drainer, Washing up bowl, Chopping boards, Kitchen knives, Drinking glasses, Mop bucket, Vacuum cleaner, Saucepan set, Kettle, Toaster, Clock, Cleaning products, Microwave
