There is an election to our very own “council of elders” There is a vacancy for a verderer following the sad loss of Ray Wright.  The election will be held on Wednesday 15th Feb in the Cathedral in Gloucester.  You can only vote in person.  Voters must arrive with ample time to be able to register to vote before the hearing begins at 11am. To be eligible to vote you must own freehold land or property in the County, except the city of Gloucester.

Freeminer Rich Daniels of HOOF is standing, and although of course I’m not recommending a particular candidate, it seems to me that his background makes him a suitable replacement for Ray, who was also a freeminer.  If you have problems with transport a free coach is available and seats can be booked in advance here: www.eventbrite.co.uk (search ‘Verderer’) or call Cheryl Mayo on 01594 510533 or email richdaniels4verderer@gmail.com
