Coleford Mayor Nick Penny launched the ninth Coleford Festival of Words today at the historic Clock Tower. Here he is with members of the organising committee and children’s author Charlotte Middleton who had earlier held workshops with young fans at Coleford Library.
This evening at 6 pm at the Coleford Baptist Hall, students from Lakers School will read for us, and the shortlisted authors of the writing competition will be announced. A number will read their entries – and more will read during the week at various locations, including lunchtimes (12.30) at Cafe 16 in Bank St, Coleford.
Then tonight at 8 pm we have crime-writer Matthew Hall talking to us about his Life in Crime, again at the Coleford Baptist Hall – tickets available on the door, £6. Full programme downloadable here
