This Sunday at the Broadwell Festival this years Coleford Festival of Words features a session by author Andrew Taylor. Andrew will be talking about a sense of place, he will talk about the clues, research and process of capturing history in your words.
This project has been gathering stories, photographs and experiences from a whole range of people including those who grew up in the area, have family linked to the area, live locally or just fascinated by our histories.
Celebrating 125 years of the Evergreen Hall of when it was a church or a school hall, or a place to hold your wedding reception or each week still where you can try yoga or tap dance or each month enjoy a live performance of music , theatre or something you might not imagine.
Singer Song writer Robb Johnson appears in concert next thursday 30th June 7-30pm tickets available in advance from Coleford Library or Tourist Office or on the door.
Andrew’s session will also be a chance to talk about how you might approach writing your diary for Friday 1st July when you are invited to record a day in your life, it may be what you do or think about in one day, it could be a day in your life you want to share with others….in the past or in the future. A One Day in Broadwell diary sheet will be available in Coleford Library, Coleford tourist Office, Broadwell Afc and Good Shepherd Church. Come and share your diary at the Evergreen on sunday 3rd July from 11am and visit for a day of activity on sunday 10th July 11am till 5pm
Everyone is welcome the session runs from 11am and Andrew will be talking from noon.
